Warranty
The following guarantees are non-transferrable from the original purchaser. The warranty support only applies to customers with shipping addresses in the Continental United States. Any support for customers outside of the Continental United States is provided at AmeriBrade’s discretion.
Lifetime- Grinder Frame/Components
AmeriBrade will repair or replace any failures of permanent-components [1] that may occur under normal [2] use for the life of the machine and cover all associated shipping charges according to our Warranty Procedure [3]. (i.e. stripped threads, cracked welds, bent brackets etc.) AmeriBrade may require failed components to be returned for assessment.
2 years- Motors/Controllers
Any motor or controller purchased from AmeriBrade is guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase. If a motor or controller fails within the first 2 years of the date of purchase under normal [2] use, AmeriBrade will replace the item and cover all shipping charges according to our Warranty Procedure [3]. AmeriBrade may require the failed component to be returned for assessment. Motors and Controllers will be replaced with the closest equivalent make/model that AmeriBrade offers at the time of the warranty claim.
2 years- Wheels/Bearings
Wheels and bearings are guaranteed to be problem free for 2 years from the date of purchase. If a failure occurs within two years of the date of purchase under normal use[2], AmeriBrade will replace the item and cover all associated shipping charges according to our Warranty Procedure[3]. AmeriBrade may require failed components to be returned for assessment. The rubber portion of contact wheels is considered consumable and is not covered for defects such as cuts, abrasion, gouges, etc. that are induced during use. However, a failure of the bond between the rubber and aluminum on contact wheels is covered by the warranty.
[1] Permanent-Components are those that do not come in contact with the belt or workpiece. Examples of permanent components include knobs, frames, arms, brackets etc. Examples of wear-components not covered under the lifetime warranty include wheels, platen plates, magnetic chucks etc.
[2] Normal Use is defined as advertised functionality performed using best practices with proper electrical power supply on un-altered components. AmeriBrade maintains the right to judge if a machine was misused. If it is determined a machine was misused, or damaged by an improper electrical power supply, or damaged by customer alterations, the cost of repair or replacement will be the responsibility of the owner.
[3] Warranty Procedure: The last day of the 2 year warranty period is defined as 2 years after the purchase date. AmeriBrade defines the Dead On Arrival (D.O.A.) period as the first 4 weeks (28 calendar days) starting from the date of arrival (documented by the shipping carrier tracking number). If a valid warranty claim is made during this D.O.A. period, AmeriBrade will ship replacement components before receiving a return of the failed components. However, if a valid warranty claim is made after the D.O.A. period, the replacement can be handled 1 of 2 ways. First, the customer can send the failed component back to AmeriBrade and AmeriBrade will ship a replacement after receiving the failed component. Alternatively, to reduce customer down-time, the customer may pay for an immediate replacement and have that charge refunded once the failed component is received by AmeriBrade later. Any time an item is being returned to AmeriBrade, it must have a valid RMA number (provided by AmeriBrade) associated with the shipment in the form of a printed RMA form or a prominent RMA # marking on the box.
